We are looking for a hardworking and committed Pharmacist to join our busy Aseptic Services team in providing a high quality service to this Trust and to other local Trusts. The Aseptic Dispensing Unit holds a MHRA 'Specials' licence and also prepares products under Section 10 exemption, including cytotoxics, parenteral nutrition and CIVAS.

As well as involvement in clinical screening of aseptic unit prescriptions, supervising aseptic preparation and quality management activities, the post provides an opportunity to be involved in multidisciplinary Haematology and Nutrition team meetings. The post holder will also participate in providing a clinical ward pharmacy service, providing a high level of pharmaceutical care to patients and being involved in the education and training of junior pharmacists, pre-registration pharmacists and other healthcare professions.

The Pharmacy operates a 7 day service to the Trust, and as part of this role the successful candidate will be expected to participate in the rostered weekend shift system, rotas for late night working and Bank Holidays, and pharmacy on-call. Our Pharmacy Team is committed to continuous personal and professional growth and aims to give the necessary support to ensure that our team members’ needs can be met. Our last Investors in People Assessment recognised our pharmacy as an outstandingly good department for staff support and development.

The post is offered at band 6 if the successful applicant is working towards a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma/MSc in Clinical or Technical Pharmacy or equivalent and at band 7 if they have completed such a qualification.
