We are a Major Trauma Unit and the Mersey Regional Burns Unit.

An exiting opportunity has arisen on the cardiology ward at Whiston Hospital.  We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, with a passion for excellence within the delivery of patient care. It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience in an acute medical area preferably with cardiology experience but this is not necessary.

Ward 1D is a 32 bedded medical ward specialising in Cardiology. Ward 1D is an extremely busy ward with a high turnover of patients. The Ward receives patients from clinics, Accident and Emergency as well as the Coronary care unit and Medical Assessment Unit. 

The post holder is expected to rotate to both days and nights and is to be flexible in their approach to caring for a group of patients. 

The post holder will be expected to deliver care of the highest standard and work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. The ability to work as part of a team is essential.

This post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS (with barred list for vulnerable adult’s and children’s disclosure).
