St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the leading acute Trusts in the North West of England. We provide a full range of acute adult services to our local population of circa 350,000 and provide tertiary services across a much wider area in the North West, North Wales and Isle of Man. We are a Major Trauma Unit and the Mersey Regional Burns Unit.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated nurse to join our Burns and Plastic Reconstruction Surgery Directorate in the role of Ward Manager for the Mersey Regional Burns Centre.

The post holder will manage and lead the team, working as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of a high quality care to our patients in a safe environment.

Our 12 bedded burns ward was the first within the hospital to achieve the GOLD standard for the QCAT assessment and the post older, supported by the team will be expected to maintain our high standards.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate proven experience of working in an acute clinical environment and considerable experience within the specialty of burns is essential.

The post holder will work under the direction of the B&P Directorate Matron and in collaboration with the Surgical Senior Nursing team and B&P Medical Teams to empower the ward nursing teams to deliver high quality; evidence based nursing care to all patients.

An Enhanced DBS with the checking of both Children's and Adults Barred Lists is required for this position.
