St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the leading acute Trusts in the North West of England. We provide a full range of acute adult services to our local population of circa 350,000 and provide tertiary services across a much wider area in the North West, North Wales and Isle of Man. We are a Major Trauma Unit and the Mersey Regional Burns Unit.

We’re looking for a Clinical Fellow (ST1 level) to join our team at St Helens and Knowsley Trust. 

This is currently a Fixed Term post for 6 months. This post would suit someone who has successfully completed their FY2 programme or equivalent, awaiting an ST1/2 training position or above, giving excellent experience in Medicine for Older People. The successful candidate will be based within the Department of Medicine for Older People and expected to initially manage all types of patient in the ward, organise appropriate investigations and treatment, and refer or discharge patients accordingly. 

The Department of Medicine for Older People is located in excellent modern facilities at Whiston Hospital, with a well-equipped Education Centre and excellent IT services. 

Applicants must hold Full Registration with the GMC and Fitness to Practice.
