Vaccination Programme Staff Nurse – Band 5 (Bank)

St Helens and Knowsley NHS Teaching Hospital Trust is the ‘Lead Employer’ for the mass COVID vaccination programme across the Cheshire and Merseyside areas.

We are currently preparing to deliver COVID-19 vaccines to millions of at-risk people across the region as soon as they are approved by the MHRA.

To prepare, we are looking for existing Band 5 Staff Nurses who are willing to join our bank to support this endeavour.

As a staff Nurse working on this programme, you will be assigned a role which may include one or more of the following responsibilities :

  • Conducting pre-vaccination clinical assessments.
  • Administering the vaccine.
  • Dilution and drawing up of vaccine from multi-dose vials.

We are looking for staff to work initially within the St Helens Area, however this is likely to expand to other locations within the footprint, once the mass vaccination sites are confirmed. At this time we are unable to confirm the exact location of these sites, but will discuss possible locations with you if you’re successful in your application.

We envisage working hours will be between 07.45am -20.15pm 7 days a week.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
